Today's session covered how to set up sequences to introduce an interview. I learnt 5 key shots to use as part of this sequence: Midshot Close-up of face Close-up of hands Over the shoulder or POV Something else or 'Artistic/creative' shot For me, this was the most enjoyable practical task so far. I liked the fact that I had a plan of the shots that I needed to capture instead of just thinking on the spot and struggling for ideas whilst out on location. I found it easy to get ideas to have in the content of each shot and completed the task quite quickly. I made sure not to break the 180 degree rule, and film all shots on the same side on the subjects face (To her left or her right) and to not pass the 'invisible' line. Feedback: I was praised on the overall appearance of my sequence, I created a good shots with good perspectives and a creative 'something else' shot with good control of the depth of field.
